3 Questions to… Mathieu Tarnus, CEO of Sarbacane and sponsor of the Take off incubation 2021 promo!

Mathieu, can you present yourself very quickly?

I am the founding president of the Sarbacane , publisher of applications dedicated to the digital communication of essential companies on the digital marketing market. Passionate about new technologies and software development since always, I have participated in the foundation of many successful products and services.

Do you agree to be the sponsor of our next incubated promo, why this choice with the Plaine Images) today?

I actually accepted this proposal with great pleasure! I have been developing Sarbacane for almost 20 years since its creation with the energy and the enthusiasm of the first days. The group that we are today is no longer the project at all that we imagined at the start. From a few men, we are now 150 and things are much more organized.

But if you asked me what was the most interesting and fulfilling step in my entrepreneurial life, I will answer you without hesitation the step that most of the incubateds experienced by this promotion, the first years of development when Everything is to be done and when you touch everything. Suddenly, I found it useful and relevant to make myself available for these entrepreneurs, share the passion for entrepreneurship and transmit my modest experience on the subject in this exciting phase of the beginnings.

I'm not going to lie to you, another reason is that it is also for me an opportunity to take a good breath of fresh air, to speak "terrain", from me too and listen to these carriers of projects in their different progress stadiums, their experiences. I have never been inspired as much for the development of the Sarbacian group today by exchanging with entrepreneurs in the creation phase or in the first years of development.
Finally, the Sarbacane group has been a partner of Plaine Image for several years. We have been based since our beginnings about the same side of the metropolis, in Hem, not very far from Roubaix. I saw the site born as well as the project, just as I saw Euratechnologies born in the late 2000s. I know a bunch of businesses passed by the incubator. We did not have the chance to take advantage of these infrastructures at our beginnings, it is I think a real springboard, an accelerator and a chance for the entrepreneurs who follow one another here.

As I adhere to philosophy and the general spirit carried by Plaine Image, I did not think a single minute before agreeing to be sponsor of this new promotion.

What would you want to tell young entrepreneurs? Advice) ? Good practice (s)?

To listen, to surround yourself but also to make the share of things, to go for it and to believe in your convictions. Knowing how to decide in a thoughtful way, but not to hesitate too long.

The incubated. Es have the chance to be surrounded by peers, but also a framework, that they take advantage of it in this youth phase of their business project to soak up all of this.
Also not to succumb to the sirens of easy funding. A business project is above all work, a lot of work.
Of course, it is even sometimes essential, you have to finance development, equipment, stock, a BFR. But the money is so accessible today, that it sometimes goes beyond the necessary and we say that it would allow to go faster, and that rather than doing a lot of things, we will surround advanced resources and skills faster. It can actually work if it is well thought out and structured. But from experience, it makes it more often burn stages, waste time, sometimes even your independence and autonomy of actions. It is also complicated to backtrack and it can enclose the outcome of a business project.

In short, the hands in the cuddy as long as possible, having known the scarcity before the light was the entrepreneurial education that I received. From my point of view, she was beneficial to the development of our company.
