"Migrants", film of the 3D pole students, wins a title in the Ves of Los Angeles

International recognition of the short film "migrants" by 3D pole continues, and is not about to stop

This is the consecration for students of 3D pole Zoé motto , Hugo Caby , Antoine Dupriez , Aubin Kubiak and Lucas Lermytte : their short film "Migrants" won on April 7 the coveted Prix "Oustanding Visual Effects in A Student Project »at the Ves Awards de Los Angeles!

 

Ves (or Visual Effects Society) is considered in the environment as Oscars of visual effects. In comparison, we can see that other winners of this 19th edition have been none other than Soul (Pete Doctor), Mank (David Fincher) or The Mandalorian (Jon Favreau). A first for the 3D pole which sees one of his films named in this prestigious competition.

Speaking of the Oscars, Hugo Caby, one of the directors, said in an article for France 3 Hauts-de-France that an appointment was not impossible if the titles continued to fall for "migrants"!

 

For the moment, the short film has received more than twenty prizes and has been appointed in more than 80 festivals around the world . To cite only a few countries: France, Germany, Japan, United States, Russia, Spain, Canada, Norway ...

But what exactly is it talking about "migrants"?

The animated film tells the story of a polar bear mother and her bear, forced to flee their natural habitat because of global warming. Immigration, environment and racism issues are at the heart of this 8-minute short film resolutely focused on awareness.
